Having said that will a 'V2' work with the Iosd mini plugged straight in and using an external BEC? For me the main reasons of getting V2 over lite are: - The Naza V2 handle long arms much better than the light - V2 has GeoFence As for the LED module, I haven't tried but they are physically identical on V2 and lite.

If all you are after is better software than go for it but if you want to use all the accessories that only work with the V2 then its not such a bargain and there is clearly a risk with as anti as DJI seems to be. Once you factor in the price of a new V2 PMU and LED you really are only saving maybe $50. I'm really bad with paint, but I hope you guys can understand what I mean haha if that works, it would save us another 60$ wasted on v2 PMU, what would really make it worth to buy the naza lite instead of the v2. I'm wondering if the v2 pmu is really needed to connect zenmuse and iosd mini, i'm saying that because I was watching this video /watch?v=qWOkQqWlmiM (see at 1:20) this guy makes an adaptor to connect the minimosd to the naza lite, all he is doing is connecting both the osd and the gps to the same port! Its like those wall adapters that we use to connect multiple things in the same socket. That means they will brick em all, even the original v2's.

I would suggest to download the current Naza assistant software, keep it on your HD and work offline when you connect your hacked Naza lite to your computer in order to prevent DJI to perform an automatic firmware update that could disable the hack. I don't think DJI is going to stay passive on that and they could lock this feature on future firmware update.
#Dji naza software for mac upgrade
Good advice (as always) from Oliver:D, The next Major upgrade Firmware wise will no doubt be to support GNSS (ESA Galileo Satellite system), But it looks like that won't be for a while yet, But yes, Beware of updating for update's sake. If you do this 'mod' should you be worried about firmware updates in the future for the lite?įor instance, could a new firmware update from DJI cancel out or prevent this upgrade from working? That's the big question. Thurmond Agreed, Had DJI released an update for the Lite, Even a 'Partial' upgrade to address the drift on take-off issue, Then none of this would have been necessary, DJI only have themselves to blame for this, It Beggers belief, in this day & age that a Major Company like DJI can think they can treat their customers in this manner. One could speculate that DJI is working feverishly to 'stop' this upgrade from working ASAP! My understanding is that DJI has always 'said' that the hardware was different but has now been 'caught' in their lie! I now wonder if the Wookong hardware is actually different? ) All the above is personal observation and opinion and may or may not have a basis in actuality. They were 'highly' instrumental in closing down the RCGroups thread about this a week or 2 ago. DJI is NOT going to take this laying down.

I have been following this since it appeared on RCGroups a few weeks ago. After you upgrade you receive a fully functional Naza v2 controller: » Better inflight algoritms - takeoff, landing, GPS position and altitude hold » Octacopters support » Ability to connect CAN-bus devices such as iOSD, zenmuse gimbal etc (using v2 pmu module) » Autonomous waypoint flight from groundstation with dji datalink modem » All other features (that Naza-m v2 have. Would it work connecting an iOSD mini to a lite? According to the website blurb - Yes.
